Support "We Go On Record"

We Go On Record is a project of the Catholic Peace Fellowship, which is a non-profit (501(c)3) devoted to promoting conscientious objection and supporting conscientious objectors.

As a non-profit, we depend almost exclusively on private donations to meet our operating expenses. Without your help, we can't finish the job we've started. All donations to CPF are tax-deductible.

Our expenses include staff salaries, phone and internet bills from our hotline and web presence, printing costs for our journal, and all the little costs that add up from a multiplicity of projects.

Along with We Go On Record, CPF's other projects include:

  • GI Rights Counseling. Currently, we're taking about 90 calls a month from military servicemembers in distress. We help people with everything from CO to family hardship to medical emergencies to domestic abuse. Most people who call us want a discharge, and we help can help them get it.
  • The Sign of Peace. This is a journal we publish with informative and intellectually rigorous articles on war and peace, all from a Catholic perspective. We try to offer an authentically Catholic alternative to pro-war Catholic neo-conservatism by treating both the Gospel and the realities of war with great seriousness.
  • Workshops. On invitation, CPF members travel the country offering weekend workshops on issues of war and peace. One workshop is a training that prepares adults and teens to run informative, entertaining presentations with young people about war, peace, the draft, and conscience. The other workshop is more specifically Catholic and is aimed at groups that want to deepen their understanding of scriptural and theological perspectives on war and peace.
  • Counter-recruitment. We counter-recruit in high schools and church youth groups by presenting young people with the facts about the military and war.
  • WarCast for Catholics. This is our occasional podcast aimed at Catholic soldiers, including interviews with COs and reflections on Church history and theology.
  • Many other projects. We're always coming up with new ways to challenge war and "make peace, one conscience at a time."
